Happy New Year to everyone visiting our site! We hope that 2010 will be a good year for you and your family. We have plenty of activities this year which people can get involved with. In February we have an Holistic Health and Natural Beauty Fair at the Everglades Hotel in Derry/L'derry and in April we will be holding our first ever Depression Aware week. You will find information about these events on the relevant pages on the site or you can call Alison at 028 7126 0602.

If you would like to help us as a campaigner, fundraiser, media or helpline volunteer, please look at the various roles we can offer in the 'Get Involved' menu and give Andy a ring on 028 9032 1734. At the moment not all pages on the site are completely ready but we are working on them and on getting blogs and links to other peoples sites. Try looking at this blog by one of our volunteers Patrick Harper who is organising our campaigning event Depression Aware Week from April 26th - 30th 2010.

Often people with depression are afraid to tell someone that they feel depressed and we know that talking about depression isn't easy. But being able to tell someone how you feel can help you start to get better. The volunteers, staff and supporters at Aware all have an understanding of depression and we know that talking with someone you trust is very important to your wellbeing and recovery. The stories on our website are your stories and they show that it is possible to get well again. If you would like to share your story or if you would like us to use your story to help others please contact Alison or Andrea at info@aware-ni.org
