AWARE scoops up at the Institute of Fundraising Awards
AWARE were delighted to be recognised in three categories at the recent Institute of Fundraising Awards held in Riddell Hall, Belfast.
AWARE picked up a 'Highly Commended' certificate for the Fundraising Event of the Year category for the AWARE Mood Walks. This is an amazing achievement for us as it was our first year running the series of walks so to achieve this recognition is an absolute credit to the hard work of all the staff and volunteers.
AWARE Volunteer, Megan Mullan from Fintona received ‘Youth Fundraising Volunteer of the Year’ award at the Institute of Fundraising awards in Belfast this week. Megan won the award for her volunteer work with mental health charity, AWARE and particularly for her hard work organising County Tyrone’s first ever colour run in aid of the charity.
We also received a certificate for our nomination with for the 'Petermarkathon' in partnership with Peter Mark. Staff in Peter Mark Salons throughout Northern Ireland enthusiastically threw themselves into fundraising for AWARE- Mrs Browns Boys dress up, Quiz Show Morning and full on dance routines helped to raise a fantastic £5000 for the charity.Tags: AWARE | Depression | Fundraising | Megan Mullan | Mental Health | Mood Walk | Petermarkathon
