A social media campaign has kicked off to encourage people to donate the first plastic £5 note they receive to a nominated charity of choice. Started off by a man called John Thompson, the phenomenon has now gripped people across the UK with hundreds donating their £5 to charities and sharing it on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtags #FirstFiver and #FiverGiver.

It may be coincidence that here at AWARE, we actively promote the 'Take 5' campaign which looks at helping to improve your emotional well-being (https://www.aware-ni.org/images/docs/Take5leaflet.pdf
