It is with deep regret that AWARE announce that they have had to cancel the ‘Kaz Hawkins and friends - Sing for AWARE’ concert which was due to take place on Friday 22 September at the Belfast Waterfront.

The concert in which Kaz Hawkins was to headline, joined by other guest artists has been cancelled because of health issues which Kaz is facing.

Kaz has apologised to those that have purchased tickets and said,

“I am so very sorry that I have had to pull out of the concert that I have been working on with AWARE. The reason being, is that I have had health issues and have now been offered surgery on 20th September 2017. It would be foolish of me to sacrifice my recovery by performing two days later at the Belfast Waterfront when I am due back out on tour at the end of September.”

Teresa Sloan is the Director of Fundraising and Communications for AWARE. Teresa said,

“It is unfortunate that this special concert for AWARE has been cancelled but the health of Kaz is of up-most importance and we wish her well for her upcoming surgery and her recovery.

“I would also like to thank the other artists who were lined up to perform at the concert for their understanding.

“In the meantime, for anyone that has purchased tickets already, you will be entitled to a full refund and you can get this by contacting the Belfast Waterfront Box Office directly on 028 9033 4455.”
