AWARE’s Mindfulness Practitioner Frank Liddy has been practicing Mindfulness for over 30 years and has been delivering Mindfulness Programmes for much of that time. Frank joined AWARE in November 2014 and is currently delivering the AWARE Mindfulness Programme across Northern Ireland. Frank is well connected with thought leaders and Practitioners in this area throughout the world and in collaboration with them will provide best practice Mindfulness to people across Northern Ireland.
Frank studied Mindfulness at the University of Wales and is a qualified Integrative Humanistic Counsellor. He is also an accredited Trainer in Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) and facilitates a Mindfulness and Recovery Group within Belfast, which is growing in popularity. Frank is at the forefront of developing, delivering and promoting Mindfulness and has worked with many others in organising international conferences and events to bring Mindfulness to the population of Northern Ireland.
Frank has also successfully delivered experiential and practice-based training programmes to mental health professionals working in psychiatry, nursing, social work and the criminal justice system. His programmes include the use of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
Frank has worked in the mental health sector for twenty-five years and has been at the forefront of developing creative cross community Mindfulness based initiatives to communities and groups traumatised by the Northern Ireland Troubles. Frank is the co-founding Director of the Belfast Mindfulness Centre.
