AWARE Mood Walks

AWARE Mood Walks

The AWARE Mood Walks are a key event in the AWARE Calendar. Anyone can take part and you can choose to walk (or run) 5k or 10k. Exercise is so important in the recovery of depression and in keeping yourself mentally and physically well.

The AWARE Mood Walks are a good opportunity to spend time with friends and family whilst getting out into the fresh air, doing some exercise and helping to raise money for AWARE - the National Depression Charity for Northern Ireland. (And it's a really fun night out for all the family!)

The rate of mental illness in Northern Ireland is 25% higher than the rest of the United Kingdom - but with your support we can do more to help people suffering from illnesses like depression.

We are asking people throughout Northern Ireland to participate in a Mood Walk, walk a few #MilesForMentalHealth and show your support for the thousands of people in Northern Ireland suffering in silence with a mental illness such as depression. But with your help, we can reach out to more people and give them the help and support they need to recover

Registration costs £10. All money raised is put directly back into the services of AWARE and helping to support and educate people on the illness of depression and bipolar disorder in Northern Ireland. Find your nearest Mood Walk below and register to take part in this fantastic family event!
