I am aware …. are you?
AWARE, with the support of JCDecaux, are launching their #iamaware campaign which will run on bill boards and adshels regionally throughout 2020. The purpose of the campaign is to help people talk about depression, and indeed mental ill health generally.
The campaign has 4 simple messages:
- Depression doesn’t always look like depression
- With the right help most people can recover
- Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide
- AWARE is here to support you
Chief Executive, Karen Collins says,
“Throughout 2020 JCDecaux are providing sponsored advertising space to help AWARE share these important messages which it is hoped will help people reach out for the support they need. We want people to know that if they are struggling with depression AWARE is here to help them – we have 25 regionally based support groups which are free to attend and a range of training and information sessions to help us all better understand how to look after our own mental health and that of those around us”
The campaign will also run on AWARE’s social media channels and everyone is encouraged to photograph the bill boards and adshels and post them to social media with the location and the hashtag #iamaware.
