In a season where there can be ‘di-stress' learn how to ‘de-stress’ with a free Mindfulness information evening in CRUN
Due to the huge support shown by the people of Coleraine and the demand for our Mindfulness Programme, AWARE (formerly Aware Defeat Depression) is returning to CRUN for an evening of Mindfulness on Monday 30th November from 7pm-8.30pm. Those in attendance will get a real understanding of what Mindfulness is and will receive a 10% discount for our six week course commencing on Monday 11th January 2016, 2pm-4pm also in CRUN.
This FREE event will include many insights into Mindfulness, it will provide those participating with a sense of tranquility and will be delivered by leading Practitioner, Frank Liddy. Frank is a qualified Mindfulness Practitioner with almost 30 years' experience in the delivery and practice of high quality Mindfulness and is recognised as a thought leader in Mindfulness development across the world.
Commenting on the importance of Mindfulness, AWARE’s Chief Executive, Siobhan Doherty says;
“Our Mindfulness courses are designed for those who are living very busy and often stressful lives. Participating in a programme can really help you deal better with the things that are going on in your life, whether it is work related stress, anxiety over problems or just the fact that you know you need something to help you manage your emotions.
“Many of the people attending our Mindfulness programmes are not suffering from depression. But they recognise that now is the time for them to begin to focus on their wellbeing, to prevent stress and live a more peaceful life.
“We want to help attendees develop the tools and skills necessary to deal with these challenges. People have told us that our courses have helped them to discover a new way of being and have reported an increased confidence and awareness in their own abilities.”
NI celebrity Chef, Paul Rankin, commends Frank as AWARE’s expert Mindfulness Practitioner and said,
“Folk often talk about trying to live in the moment, which is easier said than done. The practice of Mindfulness helps me to live in the here and now and be more appreciative of the moments of my life. Surprisingly it takes you away from your chattering mind and lets you see and enjoy what's happening right now. I find it helps me cope and realise just how much good stuff I have in my life. It's a real gift!”
