AWARE is delighted to announce our new charity partnership with Victoria Square.

AWARE will be working with Victoria Square throughout the year to increase awareness of mental health and help raise vital funds.

Victoria Square has appointed five charities all under the umbrella of improving mental health across Northern Ireland. The five appointed charities are: Addiction NI, Action Mental Health, Aware, Cruse Bereavement Care and PIPS.

Through events such as the annual Halloween Pumpkin Patch, Christmas Gift Wrapping and special events, the unique partnership aims not only to fundraise but to educate & encourage shoppers to check their own mental health.

Michelle Greeves, Victoria Square centre manager commented, “Given the rising figures of anxiety, depression and addiction in our city, Victoria Square felt it was timely to support the cause of mental health.

We have over 200,000 weekly customers to Victoria Square. Statics show that 1 in 4 people are suffering or have suffered with bad mental health meaning a high number of our customers have been affected by the issues we are supporting this year.

The five charities selected cover a variety of mental health problems that we are committed to helping to make a difference with via fundraising and events in 2018”.
