Bring your school together to shine a light on mental health!
This Children’s Mental Health Week, we’re inviting schools across Northern Ireland to take part in Shine Bright, Glow Yellow, a fun, meaningful way to raise mental health awareness, spread positivity, and raise vital funds for AWARE NI.
Yellow is the colour of hope, positivity and connection. From dressing in your brightest yellow outfits and hosting yellow-themed bake sales to organising sponsored reads and other fun fundraising activities, your school can get involved in lots of ways.
Most importantly, Shine Bright, Glow Yellow is an opportunity to start conversations about mental health, help children understand their feelings and remind young people that support is available.

When can your school take part?
While we’re encouraging schools to get involved during Children’s Mental Health Week, you can Shine Bright, Glow Yellow at any time of the year! Why not tie your fundraising activities in with one of these key awareness dates?
- February: Children’s Mental Health Week
- May: Mental Health Awareness Week
- September: World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September)
- October: World Mental Health Day (10 October)
Choose the date that works best for your school and make it your own!
