Beggs and Partners have announced AWARE as its new charity of the year, aiming to raise awareness and vital funds to support local people affected by depression and mental ill-health across Northern Ireland.

Founded in Belfast in 1960 by William Beggs, Beggs and Partners are a Plumbing and Heating Merchant known for high levels of customer service and extensive stockholding capability. Beggs and Partners are committed to 'giving back' to the local community, sponsoring a range of sports teams, charities, and events annually. 

Ian Beggs, Director at Beggs and Partners, explains:

"For the last number of years, we have become increasingly alarmed at the rising numbers of those facing mental health issues; we know too that these numbers will sadly have increased due to the COVID pandemic and the resulting social limitations that have resulted. 

“AWARE provides a potential lifeline for anyone struggling with depression, the ability to talk to someone who can help, providing support and an array of tools to help deal with the issue. This service is one we are proud to support and promote to our staff and customer alike".
