AWARE NI is offering a range of FREE mental health education courses taking place across February and March 2026.

Our mental health courses support individuals, parents and carers across Northern Ireland, with online and face-to-face options designed to improve wellbeing, resilience and confidence.

From courses for individuals affected by cancer, to parenting and mindfulness programmes, our courses are designed to provide practical tools, build confidence, and support emotional wellbeing.

Courses for individuals

A Course to Help Challenge Negative Thinking (Free – Face to Face 📍)

A five-week course for anyone struggling with low mood, anxiety, or depression. Learn how to understand your emotions, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and build confidence.

Dates: 4th March – 1st April (Wednesdays)
Time: 12:45pm - 3pm

Courses for parents & caregivers

Mindful Parenting Course (Free – Online 💻)

A six-week course for parents and guardians of children and teens. Learn practical mindfulness techniques to help you manage stress, build emotional resilience, and nurture a calmer home environment.

Dates: 18th February - 25th March (Wednesdays) 
Time: 7pm - 9pm
Delivery: Online (Zoom)

Mental Health Course for Parents (Free – Online 💻)

For expectant parents and parents of children aged three and under. Learn how to support your own wellbeing, look after your baby’s mental health, and find help when you need it.

Date: Wednesday 18th March
Time: 7pm – 9pm

Courses for individuals impacted by cancer

Mood Matters: Cancer Support (Free – Online 💻)

In partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, this two-hour workshop supports people living with or beyond cancer, as well as their friends, family, and carers. Explore how cancer can affect emotional wellbeing, learn stress-reduction techniques, and find out where to get help.

Date: Monday 16th February
Time: 1pm – 3pm

Living Life to the Full: Cancer Support (Free – Online 💻)

Also delivered with Macmillan Cancer Support, this six-week course offers practical tools to help you take control of your mental wellbeing, manage stress and worry, and build everyday confidence. Specifically adapted for individuals living with cancer or cancer experienced.

Dates: 23rd February - 30th March (Mondays)
Time: 1pm – 3pm
