Join AWARE NI’s Giant Steps Charity Walk Along the Causeway Coast!
Every year, hundreds of people gather on Saturday 6 June along the breathtaking Causeway Coast to take part in Giant Steps, AWARE NI’s flagship charity walk for mental health in Northern Ireland.
While the event brings people together for a shared challenge, everyone has their own personal reason for taking part.
For some, it’s about remembering someone they have lost.
For others, it’s a way of supporting a friend, family member or colleague who has experienced mental ill-health.
Many participants take part to look after their own wellbeing - enjoying time outdoors, setting a personal challenge and walking alongside others who care about mental health.
Others walk to raise awareness and vital funds to ensure AWARE NI can continue delivering life-changing mental health support and education programmes across Northern Ireland.
And for many, Giant Steps is about feeling part of something bigger - joining a community committed to improving mental health.
Whatever the reason, every step taken makes a difference.
Funds raised through Giant Steps help AWARE NI continue providing free peer support groups and education programmes for people affected by depression, anxiety and bipolar.
On Saturday 6 June, participants will once again come together along the spectacular Causeway Coast for this inspiring charity walk event in Northern Ireland, choosing from three challenge distances:
-
7 miles
-
13 miles
-
20 miles
Whether taking part as individuals, families, groups of friends or workplace teams, every participant plays an important role in supporting mental health services across Northern Ireland.
Giant Steps is more than just a walk - it’s a powerful show of solidarity for mental health.
