Tree of Remembrance raises £2,400 for local mental health services
We are delighted to receive a donation of £2,400 from the Foyle Tree of Remembrance!
During December, the local people of Derry/Londonderry remembered loved ones and raised funds for local charities, including AWARE, by placing heartfelt messages on golden ribbons on the Tree.
Bernard McAnaney, Chairperson at AWARE, said:
"Over the years, the Tree of Remembrance has become a much-cherished tradition - allowing local people to honour their loved ones whilst supporting local causes. Thank you to Valarie Rodden, John Mc Monacle and Deirdre McDaid from the committee who pull the project together each year, Margaret McCrossan from AWARE for her hard work, all our volunteers for their commitment and of course, everyone who donated."
